General Requirements
In order to enroll in Northwestern Business College’s non-credit Real Estate course, you must be at least 21 years of age and be a high school graduate or have a General Education Development (GED) certificate.
Course Requirements
Northwestern Business College wants you to understand your commitment regarding our pre-licensing classes. We are committed to helping you reach your goals.
- Licensing courses are not seminars where late arrivals and missed sessions can be accommodated. Illinois License Law mandates students attend each full class session. No absences are allowed. Students enrolling in our classes agree to be in attendance for full class sessions in order to complete the course successfully and meet state exam eligibility requirements.
- Arriving on time for each class is mandatory. Late arrivals will not be accommodated and students may be asked to wait until the first break to enter the class. One only incident will be allowed. If you know now that you have circumstances that might prohibit you from arriving on time and being in attendance for each class session, we recommend you consider waiting to take the course at a better time.
- Choose your course date and location carefully. A $25.00 course transfer fee is applicable. Only one course transfer is allowed.
- No cell phones are allowed in class. Please silence your cell phone while in class.
- No laptop or recording devices of any kind are allowed in class.
- All final exams are given on the last day of class.
- Felony conviction? A Real Estate license may be denied if an applicant has been convicted of a felony in which dishonesty, fraud, larceny, embezzlement, obtaining money, property, or credit by false pretenses or by means of a confidence game were involved. However, such a conviction does not mean automatic denial of a license. License applications contain questions regarding criminal convictions. The applications are approved on a case by case basis by the IDFPR.
