Admission to the Massage Therapy program requires candidates to be a high school graduate or have a General Educational Development (GED) certificate. Entering students are also required to interview with an admissions representative and complete the NBC placement test as part of the admissions process.
Students completing degree requirements for an Associate in Applied Science degree in Massage Therapy must complete a curriculum that teaches various massage techniques and adjunctive therapies. Concentrating on business-related topics prepares entrepreneurial students to open their own massage therapy practice. A medical focus prepares students to work in hospitals and nursing homes or alongside medical doctors.
