Associate in Applied Science Degree

Business Administration

Program Description

All businesses need core people with a variety of knowledge and skills, including accounting, marketing, computer applications, human resources, and management strategies. While most people can’t be stars in all these areas, a general background gives you a solid foundation on which to build. You can then apply your skills and education in any industry that interests you. You can also focus your efforts and interests into one of four concentrations: general Business Administration, Entrepreneur, Finance and Investment Management, or general Management.

Your career can grow from an administrative services team member to a management position with varying levels of responsibility and supervisory duties to a top executive.

What You Can Earn

Administrative support services and management positions are expected to grow about as fast as the average for all occupations through 2010. Earnings vary greatly for administrative services managers based on many factors – employer, specialty, and geographic area. The Office of Career Development at NBC is currently placing business administration graduates with no experience at average annual salaries ranging from $29,000 to $34,000, and graduates with experience at annual salaries ranging from $34,000 to $39,000 plus bonuses and commissions.

Career Opportunities
